AJA Europe, partner in the QUASAR project for Vocational Education and Training for people with disabilities
AJA Europe is partner in the QUASAR project, a funded project by Erasmus+, which aims to ensure and improve the quality of vocational education and training (VET) services for people with disabilities.
The project objectives include:
- Raising awareness and improving staff knowledge in the VET sector regarding recent developments; the latest EU and UN initiatives, trends and key issues in service quality and quality assurance , and perceptions of people with disabilities about quality of services.
- To promote mutual learning and exchange of experience among staff involved in quality management, with the aim of improving the implementation of quality assurance systems.
- Proposing the improvements of existing quality assurance systems, taking into account recent developments in standards such as EFQM, ISO, EQUASS, etc.
The direct beneficiaries are the organisations that provide VET activities and their staff, while the indirect beneficiaries are the service providers (people with disabilities).
The ultimate goal is to provide them with high quality, rights-based and person-oriented services in order to improve the quality of daily life and ensure their right to live independently and to be included in the community.
Expected outcomes include a mapping of research/publications related to quality topics and assurance in the social sector/VET, an online manual to upskill staff, and recommendations for improving existing quality assurance schemes.
The QUASAR project is implemented by ISEM – Plataforma de entidades para la promoción e integración social de personas con enfermedad mental (Spagna) in partnership with:
- The Rehab Group (Ireland)
- AJA EUROPE (Italy)
- European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR)
