Certificate verification
Anyone (a company, a client, a public contracting authority) can check the authenticity and validity of a certificate issued by the certification bodies of our group. This page explains how.
Warning: counterfeit certificates are in circulation
We have identified counterfeit certificates in circulation that improperly bear the name, logo and/or accreditation marks of our group companies. These documents were not issued by us and have no validity whatsoever.
Only certificates issued by A Cube TIC Ltd (United Kingdom), Aja Europe (Italy) and A-Europe Certification (Singapore) are genuine. Before accepting a certificate, please verify it as described below.
Notice of 14 October 2026
1. Have the certificate details at hand
To verify a certificate you will need:
- the name of the certified organisation;
- the standard (for example ISO 9001:2015);
- the certificate number.
2. Look the certificate up in the official databases
IAF CertSearch is the worldwide database of accredited certifications. It contains only valid certifications issued by certification bodies accredited by an accreditation body that is a signatory to the IAF MLA. All our accredited certificates are published there: you can search by certificate number or by organisation name.
For certificates issued under UKAS or Accredia accreditation you can also check the list of certified organisations published by the accreditation body:
UKAS CertCheck Accredia database
3. Compare the details
The details shown in the database must match those on the certificate you received:
| Certificate holder | organisation name and location (city and country) |
|---|---|
| Standard | the reference standard, including its edition |
| Scope | the activities covered by the certification |
| Validity | issue and expiry dates; the status must be valid, not suspended, withdrawn or expired |
Even a single discrepancy is a good reason to ask us to verify the certificate.
4. If the certificate does not appear or you have doubts
There may be a delay of a few days between the issue of a certificate and its publication in the database: a recently issued certificate that does not yet appear is therefore not necessarily counterfeit. In that case, or if you have any doubt, please contact us.
